The different classes of problems are addressed by each of the armed services and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). The DoD has made a large investment in high-performance computing (HPC) hardware, and it uses a combination of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf, Department of Energy, and DoD developed codes. The DoD has a need for coupled codes. Then, an efficient iterative algorithm for combining such matrices, and finally providing the wideband generalized impedance matrix of the complete structure, is followed. Industrial wireless devices are generally designed to operate with a 50 ohm load—that is, the coaxial cable and antennas are designed to have a 50 ohm impedance to the radio at RF frequencies. At the high frequencies used in wireless, all insulation appears capacitive, and there is loss of RF signal between the inner conductor and the screen. The additional impedance at the input is known as the Miller impedance and, for amplifiers with a high gain, this impedance can have a dramatic effect upon performance.
